oi, careful.



well it's easy enough.

- take the etopo2 dataset,
- load it into a GRASS lat/lon location,
- set the resolution to 2 degrees,
- r.resamp.stats method=average to resample raster from original 2 arc-
   minutes to 2 degrees,
- raster -> vector points with r.to.vect,
- create a new winkel tripel location
- reproject the vector points into the winkel location with v.proj
- export as svg with v.out.svg.

and you get the attached..


2deg seems a bit crowded so here's 3,4,5 degrees too.
