the cran-au mirror is (still) having issues. try swapping mirrors
in sources.list.d/cran.list to:
  http://cran.cnr.berkeley.edu/bin/linux/ubuntu

final installed version should be R 2.10.1.

setdown.sh gave a few errors too ..

mv: cannot stat `/tmp/*downloads': No such file or directory
mv: cannot stat `arramagong-gisvm-3.0': No such file or directory
ln: target `Final-apt-cache' is not a directory
ln: target `Final-log' is not a directory
