Pablo,
Thanks for your feedback and investigation. You seem to have uncovered a 
bug we haven't heard of before.

The fixes you point to refer to providing a manual fix which a user can 
apply. Do you know if this fix can be applied during our build process?

Would you mind writing a bug report for us, copying the information you 
have provided below, and email us the URL of the bug once finished.

In particular, please describe the steps you have followed to create the 
bug, so someone else can reproduce it, or verify that it has been fixed. 
Are you running from the DVD, or an ISO, or installing into VM, or did 
you install to to a computer?

(This bug might be fixed by one of the periodic security/bug fix updates 
provided by Ubuntu/Xubuntu).
