Thanks Daniel, Peter, Brian, Even for your contribution to this discussion.

Based upon Daniel and Peter's concerns about the stability of their 
applications, I think that we should revert to Postgres 8.4 for this 
release.

Brian, would you mind updating the appropriate install script(s)?
