 on the desktop we now have "Getting started with Ubuntu 13.10" pdf ebook
 (Unity not LXDE)

 on the main help page in "getting started with the osgeo live dvd"
 osgeolive_quickstart.rst, in the see also section is links to the online
 docs for Lubuntu and LXDE wiki.
