[pgpointcloud] Error on CREATE EXTENSION pointcloud;

This is expected. The beta might have included a provisional release. We can actually build pointcloud for windows just fine, but we’ve had trouhble building out PDAL, which is pretty important to working with real data and pointcloud, so we opted to step back from Windows until we could resolve the build story for PDAL.

Indeed I'm on windows. I tried this with OpenGeo Suite 4.0-beta and didn't encountered that problem. Is this expected on 4.0 release? 

I was under the impression the extension is already integrated in 4.0 as what you have said in this blog: http://boundlessgeo.com/2013/11/manage-lidar-postgis/

Are you on windows by any chance? The error is indicative of not having the extension installed, which wouldn’t be surprising on windows: it’s not part of the suite on that platform yet.

I am trying to follow the tutorial in this blog http://workshops.boundlessgeo.com/tutorial-lidar/.
I can't get past the CREATE EXTENSION pointcloud as it is returning this error:

ERROR:  could not open extension control file "C:/Program Files (x86)/Boundless/
OpenGeo/bin/../pgsql/share/extension/pointcloud.control": No such file or directory

I verified the existence of the file and I am positive it is there. Any thoughts?
