I still cannot use the cpp version in OS/X 10.2, unfortunately. The 
stdout fix helped one major problem, but the another problem remains. I 
simply cannot get the $libdir variable to go into the file, and I cannot 
get the '' marks to go into the file. cpp generally complains that it 
has the wrong number of arguments on the command line. I tried every 
combination I could think of... it was/is cpp 2.96.
