Hi everyone,

I think I'd like to see the regression tests included as part of a single
distribution .tar.gz mainly for the following reasons:

	1) We should encourage people compiling from source on different
platforms to run the regression tests as part of a default install.
This would be particularly handy on platforms requiring memory
Alignment etc. and would help increase the stability of PostGIS.

	2) I don't remember seeing many complaints about the download size
	being too large.

	3) Downstream packagers can always use produce different RPM sets
e.g.

		postgis
		postgis-devel
		postgis-regress

to avoid the large downloads for users who just want the basics.

Kind regards,

Mark.
