Hi,

I'm working on something along those lines: Hibernate Spatial. It's
an extension on Hibernate so that it can work with JTS Geometry
classes (which is the geometry used in GeoTools feature model).

Here is the project page: http://www.cadrie.com/projects/majas-
hibernate/hibernate-spatial/introduction.html

NOTE: in the next couple of weeks the project will be moved to a new
home (http://www.hibernatespatial.org/)

Hibernate Spatial was developed in part during the MAJAS project.
There we worked for while on a Geotools datastore that used the
Hibernate Spatial as backend. This code can still be found on https://
www.cadrie.com/svn/majas/trunk/majas-hibernate-datastore/. I do not
know how useful this code is at present. We abandoned development of
the Hibernate DataStore because working directly with Hibernate
Spatial was easier for us. If you're interested in this, I'll try to
revive development.

Regards,

Karel Maesen
