Okay, I've just committed the rename of lwpostgis.sql to postgis.sql, and  
the
embedding of the version number in the resulting .so/DLL file. It seems to  
work for
me, but let me know if I accidentally broken anything.

Next, I'll come along and rename the lwgeom/ directory to postgis.
