 Okay - looks like the continue from the old code was causing the bitmask
 to not be updated. Can you try the new v2 patch please? Also, can you
 confirm that you get the same results from ST_Union() on a normal dataset
 without NULLs both pre and post patch? Just in case I did manage to break
 something else at the same time... ;)
