 Nope, I'm afraid there is no hard-coding anywhere - the path to the PGXS
 Makefile is always generated by "pg_config --pgxs".

 Did you try and point to a different pg_config using --with-pgconfig? If
 so, you may be suffering from the old PGXS bug where a pg_config in PATH
 will still always take precendence over one specified using --with-
 pgconfig. Note this bug was fixed in PostgreSQL 8.3.

 So search hard for multiple pg_configs on your system...
