 I finally managed to produce a dumpfile that can be used to reproduce the
 error - I have given Paul references to it including a describtion how to
 reproduce the error.

 The odd thing is that if I update or delete rows in the table that is part
 of the "trigger query" the error can not be reproduced !

 I have upgraded to Postgres 8.4.2/PostGis 1.4.2, and the error is still
 there.

 Next week I could try to reproduce the error on a Linux box.
