You're confusing a dump/restore upgrade with what this poor soul did,
which was remove all his old DLLs and write the new ones into place.
Even if he updated all his function signatures to point at the new
DLL, he'd still be SOL, since the objects on the disk aren't readable
by the new DLLs.
