[postgis-devel] Point Cloud in PostGIS and Open Source Development

Hi,

Is it possible to get more information about the current development of point cloud support in PostGIS? This project seems to be going on (https://github.com/pramsey/pointcloud) but I haven't seen anything about the data structure planned (is that it? https://github.com/pramsey/pointcloud/blob/master/README.md), about function specifications, about the road map, about the people and organizations involved, about the justification for the current design. The only thing that seems open in this project is the  source code. No open discussion, no open document, no open specifications, no open road map. Is this an open project?

Seems to me that every steps of open source software development should be open. Not just the source code...

How is it related to PDAL?

I can pay 5000$ to anybody (other than PR) having info on this project. (Just joking...)
