[postgis-devel] ST_Count, deprecated or ?

In the NEWS file of PostGIS trunk I read:

 * Important / Breaking Changes *

  - #2567, ST_Count(tablename, rastercolumn, ...) uses ST_CountAgg()

 * Deprecated signatures *

  - #2565, ST_SummaryStats(tablename, rastercolumn, ...)

What does it mean ? Was ST_SummaryStats deprecated or was it
changed in a breaking way ?
