Mohit, middle-term evaluation is coming, will we be able to see some working
code by then ? Being able to construct basic SP-GiST indexes on the geometry
type would be enough. That part would have to come as a contribution to
the PostGIS code base, ideally a pull request for the PostGIS repository
on github.
