[postgis-devel] GEOS backend for fast topology populating

Hey,

What would be the pro/cons and the difficulties associated to using GEOS to
compute the topological model and populate the postgis topology table ?

This seems to have the potential to accelerate a lot the loading.

In an even better future, would it be conceptually possible to fully use
GEOS for all topology geometry-related question.
How would it work? (without reconstructing the topology every time?)
