[postgis-devel] Stable Branch Naming : Git

+1 only master /stable branches should be in the repo.

Features go in personal repos or are sent as pull requests or patches.

I like the idea, I don't care about the naming. GEOS uses just X.Y, gdal uses release/X.Y, Postgres does REL_X_STABLE, so I don't see a standard.

Regarding this, can we keep only stable branches + master in the fancy new repo? I don't like having development branches in the main repository.
