[postgis-devel] Stable Branch Naming : Git

Forgot about releases (tags) - of course we should have those in repo.

I feel like changing our convention from X.Y.Z  to postgis-X.Y.Z not worth the trouble.
As you can't really go back and rename a tag and having new ones be different from old would just be annoying.  They wouldn't float together.

I think stable- is fine.  Stepping back, there should be stable
*branches* to which only fixes and really safe improvementes are made, on which there are release *tags*.

And, as in your example, stable-X.Y would have along it tags
postgis-X.Y.0 and postgis-X.Y.1, etc.
