 We don't necessarely need to fully revert to the old behavior, but some of
 the approaches should probably get back, like checking angle between arc
 segments. See #2423 for a clear such case.

 It would help to have a more comprehensive testsuite for curves. I've only
 found 4 _disabled_ tests for ST_LineToCurve in regress/sql-mm-
 circularstring.sql
