 About documentation:

 I would put those two new functions in the 9.3. Raster Constructors
 section of the doc instead.

 I would explain what is the difference between ST_Tile and ST_Retile and
 between ST_Retile and ST_CreateOverview and ST_Resample.

 I would also explain what happen when there is gaps and/or overlaps and/or
 rotation in the source coverage.

 I would also add a section in 5.2.2. Raster Overviews explaining how to
 create overviews with SQL.
