 At the moment, asx3d is doing its best to generate the whole xml tag
 around the coordinates. This is not useful when the client is already
 building the tag structure (often including extra attributes) and it only
 wants to know the type of geometry, its indices and coordinates.

 It would be nice to have an option of having the output as a set of
 [type,coordIndex,Coordinate]. Not sure that would be best as a parameter
 or as a new function.
