 Thanks for the sum-up, but I don't think the behavior you're describing
 matches the current implementation as snap-to-segment was NOT implemented.
 The red node will be added as-is. The result should be having both the red
 AND the blue node, effectively having 2 nodes closer-than-tolerance.
