 For the record: PR https://git.osgeo.org/gitea/postgis/postgis/pulls/226
 earlier catches the problem erroring out at the time second edge snapping
 and splitting is attempted, giving an error like:

  ERROR:  snapping edge 17 to new node moves it past edge 18
