 This is the kind of bug that might be fixed by using fixed-precision
 overlay operations available in GEOS since version 3.9 - a WIP pull
 request to do that is here:
 https://gitea.osgeo.org/postgis/postgis/pulls/243

 I confirm that with the code in that branch we get the desired result:
