[postgis-users] pl/pgsql vs. C functions

I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on the relative speed
advantages of C over pgpsql functions, if any exist.
I am doing some geo-processing stuff and feel like I am not getting much
speed out of the pl/pgsql stuff.
