[postgis-users] Completely Non-Scientific Performance Test (CNSPT)

<CNSPT>
In the interests of being "kewl" we loaded an 8 million record table
into PostGIS on our new database server (Dual Athlon 1.6Ghz, 2Gb RAM).
Index building took about 40 minutes. Vacuuming took another 20 or so.
Retrieving a 4 feature subset via spatial query took less time than we
could measure. Essentially instant. Things only got slow when retrieving
subsets in the thousands of features.
