I am doing some calculations for hardware storage expansion and this comes to mind. Now, if a shape file (along with dbf,shx) were to be 1MB in size and this same file were loaded into Postgis, would the Posgresql db grow by 1MB or would it be more or less.. if there is difference, please state the ratio.
