[postgis-users] RE: Getting the nearest street name from GPS point

Hi,

I am developing some GPS vehicle tracking reports using PHP. Currently, the
lat/lon is kept in a MySQL database. What i want to do is  based on the each
lat /lon values, do a query to Postgis and return the nearest street name to
the points. A maximum distance tolerence would be good.
The street shape file is already loaded into PostGIS.

Right now, I'm not sure what Postgis query to use.
