[postgis-users] Current Status

Can you help me get my head around versions?  Will the release depend at
all on certain versions of Postgres?  I assume that a good pair of
postgis/geos is the key and that it could compile against most older
versions of Postgres as well. (i.e. the old windows port I've got).
