[postgis-users] Installing PostGIS

I had a problem similar to this... but, in my case(using Fedora 2 too),
Makefile.port was not found...
Should I remove pre-installed RPM of PostGreSQL and then re-install
PostGreSQL from the source package? (.tgz )
