[postgis-users] Installing postgis-0.9.1

Here is the exact error message.

bash: pg_config: command not found

I installed Postgresql-8.0.1, from source.
But I have just realised that the postgresql-7.3, which came with redhat is 
still on the machine, and might be conflicting the newly installed database. 
Is there a way of getting rid of this version. Your help is highly 
appreciated.
