[postgis-users] createlang permission denied

Hi all

I am following the directions in postgis
documentation.
When I issue the command 

createlang plpgsql mydb

I get the error: "createlang: language installation
failed: ERROR: permission denied for language c"

I can issue the command as root and continue with the
rest of the steps in the documentation, but then I can
no longer access the database as my everyday user.

Any ideas?
