Hi

We tested the ebuild for Geos 2.1.1 and PostGIS 1.0.0Rc5 at work ...All works fine..

If U want to test the PosTGIS ebuild and Geos ebuild go to:

http://www.01map.net/gentoo

++++ For PostGIS+++++++++++++++++++++++

Download all files in dev-db/postgis (recursively)

++++For Geos+++++++++++++++++++++

Download all files in sci-lib/geos

++For both  (geos+postgis):+++++++++++++++++

Do the following commands as root:

mkdir /usr/local/portage.01map

echo PORTDIR _OVERLAY=\"usr/local/portage.01map\" >> /etc/make.conf

then U 'll be able to install our ebuilds by typing:

USE="geos proj doc" ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="~x86" emerge -v postgis

and then ...Enjoy!!!!

  Hi Paul , Hi Sandro and Dave and Marc

  First of all , Sandro many thanks for your notices about pgsql2shp (it works now on my Debian Sarge :-)
  in a e-mail I received (int junk -> size_t junk...)

  It worked....

  At work, with my friend Gerald Fenoy , yesterday we made the Geos Ebuild version 2.1.1...All worked perfectly with Doxygen for Documentation
  and the library...and so on...

  Today, we test our liked tool ...PostGIS 1.0.0 RC5...On this afternoon (in French country for us), we will give you
  the ebuild for this release candidate (maybe the last one...)

  An idea, As U did it for the RPM on PostGIS site , do U think that U could create a repository on your web site in order to
  being downlodable and accessible for Gentoo users which as U know grow day by day..

  I know that proj 4.4.9 and PG 8.0.0 th ebuild are already availale...

  If Olivier Fisette reads this mail, thanks to contact us for ebuild upgrading...(U could speak in French, cause U speak with Gerald Fenoy aka djay)
