So when you commit a new version, it goes into the Debian tree and then Ubuntu 
picks it up?  Is that the ordering of events?

No, I just dropped two patches into the package, one to populate 
contrib/postgis-1.0.4 and one to edit contrib/Makefile to build it.

Alex has a pretty good postgis build, but there's one or two outstanding issues 
I'm waiting to hear back from Alex on.

I'm thinking we should get those points resolved and then we can put them up for 
you to take a look at for inclusion into Debian/Ubuntu.
