[postgis-users] ArcGIS/ArcView client to the PostGIS?

Carlos:

UMN Mapserver (http://mapserver.gis.umn.edu) can use PostGIS 
data-sources.  Possibly you could use the UMN Mapserver ArcIMS emulator 
(http://mapserver.refractions.net/) and connect to that in ArcCatalog. 
This might give you view access.
