[postgis-users] GEOMETRYCOLLECTION to MULTILINESTRING

I create a geometry table with the function locate_between_measures(). The
function works fine and the result is a geometrycollection. Thats the
expected result. The problem is the geometrycollection. Most of the geos
based spatial functionis of postgis don't work with geometrycollections. How
do I convert the geometrycollection to multilinestrings?

I'll appreciate an hint.
