[postgis-users] postgis and arcmap

Hi all. I was wondering what is the most common configuration for POSTGIS
and a GIS platform? I am an ARCMap user and am taking the Spatial GEODB
class next month at the local JC. I know we'll be using SDE and ArcMap, but
I would like to go the Open Source route, maybe as my own project in class.
Maybe a compare and contrast with SDE and POSTGIS?

Anyways, any comments are welcome.
