[postgis-users] Midline between 2 lines in 3d space

Hi to all guys!
I have got a SHP file, made of 2 lines. I need to found the middle line 
between them.
The lines are instead polylines and the z values is stored in attribute tab, 
using elevation column.
I thought about taking the left line, transform into points and store it in a 
txt file; do the same for right line and then do the average of the 
coordinates..can this be ok?
