[postgis-users] Command line keeps requesting a user and password when entering a command

Hi list,

Is this a normal thing ? I've created a user postgres when installing
postgresql with all
rights and with the option to remember the password.
When using the command line in postgis ex:

psql [dbname]

I have to specify the username

psql [dbname] -U [username]
followed by the password

and that for every command I'd want to use..

Can I just make a administrator account and password ?
