[postgis-users] decode geometry

Hello, we're trying to view PostGis data from Visual Basic using a binary
cursor
(trough ODBC) because features in some tables has too many points and the
function astext() returns strings unacceptably large (about 400 KBytes).We
think that receiving it as binary will decrease size and increase
performance. Does anybody know how can we decode geometry data from wkb or
any documentation about it?
