[postgis-users] Connecting to postgis: localhost <-> dyndns:strange thing

This is really a postgresql question rather than a postgis I think.

Can you list out the tables you are getting in both cases. I'm sure the table that is different will give you a clue.

Also what driver/software are you using to connect? are you just connecting with psql command line or odbc or PgAdmin or something else? - it could be in your configuration that in one you have set to hide certain tables - e.g. in PgAdmin you can hide system tables and so forth.

Hope that helps,
Regina

Subject: [postgis-users] Connecting to postgis: localhost <-> dyndns:strange thing

Hi,

I'm running a database on localhost. This database is reachable via a
dyndns-account.
I have a strange problem when I connect to my database via these parameters

host: localhost
port: 5432
passwd: *****
database: test

I get 4 tables, yet when I try to connect with my dyndns:

host: xxxxx.dyndns.org
port: 5432
passwd: *******
database: test

I get 5 tables ?

How is this possible, I'm running the database on the exact same pc ??
