[postgis-users] different results from PGobject.getValue()

Is it expected behaviour that PGobject.getValue() returns different results,
depending if postgis.jar is on the classpath?

without postgis.jar PGobject.getValue() returns

with postgis.jar PGobject.getValue() returns
