[postgis-users] Using transform with proj4 string.

Is there any way to use TRANSFORM with proj4 strings.  Something like;
transform(geom,¹+proj=merc +lat_0=0.0 +long_0=0.0 +x_0=0 +y_0=0 +datum=WGS84
+units=m +no_defs¹)
