[postgis-users] Using transform with proj4 string.

I am also wondering if a proj4 string could be used in GeomFromText.
Something like,

GeomFromText(WKT,¹+proj=merc +lat_0=0.0 +long_0=0.0 +x_0=0 +y_0=0
+datum=WGS84 +units=m +no_defs¹)
