[postgis-users] database wide unique ID

That one crossed my mind, yes. But as far as I can see, the GUID is not a
standard object in postGres/postGIS. And since I am using INSERT INTO
(cols) SELECT cols_field FROM...

It seems a bit useless to use the php uniqid function because that would
mean that I would slow down my proces significantly;

- count rows; for each row generate GUID and insert into...

while now I have

- insert into for all rows at once.
