Hello Daniela,
This doesn't seem like a problem with MezoGIS but rather with an
outdated wxGTK...
Try download the latest from http://www.wxwidgets.org/ and
compile/install it in your system.
Remember to firstly uninstall the previous wxGTK ;-)
