Run 'otool -L' on liblwgeom to see if it is linked to geos:
otool -L /usr/lib/pgsql/liblwgeom.so | grep libgeos
You should see a line with (Or something similar):
/usr/local/lib/libgeos_c.1.so (compatibility version 6.0.0, current
version 6.1.0)
If you don't see it needs to be linked to it.
P.S. I am on Mac OS X, so I am not sure if RedHat has otool, but I
think it does...
