"POSTGIS="1.3.3" GEOS="3.0.0-CAPI-1.4.1" PROJ="Rel. 4.6.0, 21 Dec 2007"
USE_STATS"
I've run into 2 more problems.
1) When I call buffer() with a value other than zero, postgres.exe
consumes RAM progressively until my machine begins to thrash and I am
forced to power cycle it. My machine has 3G of RAM.
2) When I call st_simplifypreservetopology() with a large tolerance, it
produces an invalid geometry. This has been reported on this list
previously:
http://postgis.refractions.net/pipermail/postgis-users/2008-April/019327
.html
I'm feeling some pain.
I was able to work around the st_disjoint() problem by using
st_intersects(). Hopefully, I can work around these other problems as
well. I am trying to find a replacement for Oracle 11.1, because Oracle
has been giving me so many problems. So far, PostGIS seems much, much
faster, but has the above problems.
